1. Julie Schumacher
Julie Schumacher's first published story, Reunion, was included in The Best American Short Stories 1983. Since then she's been writing about family relationships and parents and children for adult as well as younger readers. She is an associate professor of English at the University of Minnesota, where she teaches classes such as fiction writing, dystopian literature, monsters in fiction, child narrators, and Latin American literature in translation. She lives in St. Paul.
